Regular Membership
Regular Members are considered all persons of Greek descent and members of their families, holding a position at British Colleges, Universities or any other higher education national or international institution in Great Britain.
Associate Membership
Associate Members are considered:
- Students of Greek descent studying at British Colleges and Universities, or any other higher education national or international institution in Great Britain, Greece and other countries, all over the world, upon their request.
- Persons of Greek descent and members of their families, working in higher education institutions of Greece and other countries, all over the world, upon their request
- Persons who do not meet the above requirements for membership, but who otherwise have a deep-rooted interest in Greek society and culture, and who wish to promote the purposes of the Association, upon their request.
Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership can be granted at the discretion of the Coordination Committee, to persons that have tendered substantial services to the Academic World, Greek society and the Association.
About HAA Membership
There shall be three categories of membership of the Association. These are Regular, Associate and Honorary Membership.
- Regular Members: All persons of Greek descent and members of their families, holding a position at British Colleges, Universities or any other higher education national or international institution in Great Britain.
- Associate Members:
- Students of Greek descent studying at British Colleges and Universities, or any other higher education national or international institution in Great Britain, Greece and other countries, all over the world, upon their request.
- Persons of Greek descent and members of their families, working in higher education institutions of Greece and other countries, all over the world, upon their request.
- Persons who do not meet the above requirements for membership, but who otherwise have a deep-rooted interest in Greek society and culture, and who wish to promote the purposes of the Association, upon their request.
- Honorary Members: Honorary Membership can be granted at the discretion of the Coordination Committee, to persons that have tendered substantial services to the Academic World, Greek society and the Association.
The Regular Members may refuse any person from becoming an Associate Member, or expel a Regular or Associate Member by a unanimous vote of the Coordination Committee, if the Committee determines that such a person does not embrace the purposes for which the Association exists. Associate Membership is offered at the discretion of the Coordination Committee. Associate and Honorary Members do not have voting rights nor can be elected to the Coordination Committee.
